Streamline your entry experience with our new and improved home page

by | May 8, 2023 | Feature focus

A great user experience begets great entries and even better award program outcomes.

We’ve always believed in good user experience and good design. But, it’s been seven years since we first designed our entry home page. And, along the way, we’ve been listening. More space for content. Accessibility-friendly. Easier for the entrant to get started more quickly.

While the Award Force home page is only briefly seen and used for a few moments, it is one of the most important views in the application. Handling registration and login, this page is critical for maintaining program security and integrity. And, as the first page a participant interacts with, sets the tone for the rest of their experience with you.

That’s why we’re excited to announce big improvements to the home page experience.

The updated entry home page allows program managers, their team and entrants to access your Award Force platform with greater ease and convenience but also presents more utility to you.

Here’s a quick list of the improvements made to the home page:

  • An exciting redesign of the layout
  • Easy navigation to the home page for logged-in users
  • Streamlined registration and login
  • Optional display of entry category information
  • Optional display of about page content and new menu
  • A new language preference selector

With more capabilities, a mobile-friendly layout and accessibility in mind, the home page has received a layout redesign.

Easy navigation to the home page for logged-in users

Viewing the home page without logging out or switching browser windows is now a breeze!

The home page can be accessed directly from the Award Force platform by all logged in users. Users can simply click on the home icon in the top menu at any time to return to the home page.

Accessing home when logged in allows program managers direct access to see what the homepage might look like without logging out of the system. Great for editing content blocks or testing configuration changes.

To return to the “logged in” view, program managers and their teams just click on a relevant workspace they have access to.

Streamlined registration and login

Both login and registration are now handled by a single form on the Award Force platform, offering a more intuitive experience for award program participants. It provides a clear path for users to access the platform, reducing the amount of time and effort needed to access it whether on mobile, desktop or tablet.

The user verification process has been simplified to a single step, making access to the Award Force platform fast and easy—but still secure, with a 6-digit code (6DC) sent via text message or email.

Optional display of entry category information

Program managers can now promote their entry categories directly on the home page! This can help reduce friction in the registration process and provide an intuitive, streamlined experience for your entrants.

What else can be optionally displayed on the home page?

  1. Home category promotion content block
  2. Category name
  3. Category description
  4. Category sponsor logos or images
  5. Downloadable blank entry PDF
  6. Category “Enter” deep link button (shareable link).

Optional content pages and new menu

Providing more program context and promoting entry categories is a critical step in the award management lifecycle. That’s why we’ve made it possible to display additional content blocks for yet logged in. The home page features a menu above the login/registration form to make it easier for users to navigate through this information.

Clicking on an item in this list will take users to view that displays the relevant content—all to help entrants better navigate and choose the right entry category they want to enter.

There’s no limit to how many content blocks can be created, enabling program managers to share a wide range of information with page visitors.

This content can also be removed if program managers don’t want it visible to the public. The menu will not be visible if there is no additional content.

A new language preference selector

For programs with more than one language active, you’ll notice the language selector has changed location.
We’ve positioned this language selector as the first focus point—the top left corner of the home page to ensure entrants experience an easy submission process, in the language of their choice.

Maximizing submissions starts with a strong start

These home page updates are designed to bring flexibility and functionality to the forefront of the program management and award entry experience, all to improve outcomes and drive results.
